For divers who aren't using a scuba dive computer to manage their nitrogen levels, it's important to use dive tables to keep track of downtime. In order to make use of these tables effectively, a dive watch is required. How's a dive watch different from an ordinary wristwatch? Two things make it stand out. First, and most obviously, dive watches are water resistant. They also have a rotating bezel.
Practical timepieces for men - such as dive watches and other watches for active individuals - did not come along for almost forty years afterward when the first wrist watch for men was designed for Franco-Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904.
That's not all: mountain climbers can measure their prowess with altimeter watches and hikers can stay on course with compass watches (one model, from Seiko, even has a feature that allows you to read distances on a map, any map, instantly).
When you're surviving on canned air 100 or so feet under the sea, few things matter more than time. To prevent painful developments (specifically, the bends), divers need to know how long they've been under water, and, when the dive is over, to make sure they don't ascend too quickly. That makes a reliable watch a vital piece of equipment. Even divers who rely on dive computers, which provide every piece of data a diver could possible need, often wear a watch as backup.
The former company started out in 1918 as the Shoshoka Watch Institute of Japan; the name was changed to "Citizen" in 1930. This company manufactures fine dive watches as well as some of the most coveted luxury watches in the world.
Movado is located in Switzerland; this company's product is primarily responsible for the term "runs like a Swiss watch." These designer watches are generally considered to be some of the most accurate and dependable timepieces ever made.
It's a watch that grows on you and 9 times out of ten it would be a great idea for a gift. Of course, the level of appreciation is entirely dependant on the interests of the person and nothing else. However, with a Luminox Navy SEAL dive watch there is very little chance of your decision backfiring on you.
In any event, if you are stumped over the ideal gift, it's good to know about mens watches. Whether it's for a rite of passage such as a graduation or bar-mitzvah, an anniversary or birthday, or to honor someone's outstanding achievement, mens watches are always appropriate - and always welcome.

What is a good job after being a navy diver?
I am enlisting to become a navy diver and I want to do it until they won't let me anymore. After I retire from the navy, I want to get a good size sailboat and live aboard it. What would be a good job for me to do using my diving skills? Maybe marine biologist or marine photographer?
Answer:
It sounds like you've thought well about your future after the Armed Forces which is good.
Any skills you acquire whilst with the Navy can be credited in your CV for when you apply to be a marine biologist or photogtrapher.
I imagine that for whichever job you apply for you will also have to do a degree level course for photography or biology or atleast a course at a college unless you've already done this.
But I must stress that the skills you learn in the Navy will be extremely valuable after your service
